I didn't need 5.1 sound, so I nabbed this one over the slightly more expensive SB Live! Let me tell you, it wasn't a dissappointment. The sound is 10x cleaner than my onboard sound. I didn't think it was too bad until I got this card. The Sound Blaster put it to shame. And for you bass addicts out there, it has much finer bass control. I used to have to compromise with no bass than to be forced to listen to overbassed drums and such. Now with this card, it is per-fect. An awesome buy for the money!!

Comments: The audio from this card is quite a bit cleaner than my onboard sound. I highly recommend this card for someone on a low budget!
