• Ch341ser Driver Windows 10

• I am running Windows 10 version 1607
• The arduino typically appears as a USB 2.0 Serial device, but changed to unknown device (I'm not quite sure how) so I uninstalled it, unplugged it, plugged it back in, and it was shown as a USB 2.0 Serial device again
• The arduino appears like this in the device manager, I'm not sure if that counts as 'yellow bang icon'
• The device is a 'Gikfun USB Nano V3.0 ATmega328 CH340G', an off brand Arduino Nano made by Gikfun
• I have 3 USB ports on my computer, a Toshiba Satellite C55-A
• I have disabled Signed Driver Enforcement, tried a variety of downloads for the driver, tried using Driver Easy to install the driver, and tried to install the driver using the automatic find option in the device manager, hard disk option in the device manager, installing through the setup application, and the CH341.exe application
• The change that I remember making is disabling Signed Driver Enforcement

From my searching online, I have discovered that the driver needs to be installed in order for the device to be recognized, so this is not one of the devices that are 'plug and play ready in Windows 10'. I am primarily focused on installing this driver, however I am open to suggestions if this is not the correct path to take.

Download the latest drivers for your USB-SERIAL CH341 to keep your Computer up-to-date. But if you have the CH340 driver installed, then plug in the CH340 and Windows will just link the driver for you. No need to dig through.inf files. But the fact you 'installed' FTDI drivers for it I start to think it's NOT a CH340 but just a Chinese/counterfeit FTDI which will install with the latest FTDI drivers but just will not work. There are some choices to be made when installing Arduino software and drivers in Windows 10. Arduino offer two ways of installing the Arduino IDE on a Windows PC — Windows installer file and a Windows zip file. Windows 10 will also install a default driver when an Arduino is plugged into the USB port of a PC.

The Windows USB Troubleshooter was unable to detect any problems, and I do not believe this is the correct tool for my problem because it focuses on USB audio, storage, and print devices which the arduino is not, and I believe the problem is with my computer and the lack of a driver, not the arduino microcontroller. thanks for the help
